This homeowner in Colchester wanted to take full advantage of the roof space on both their garage and garden outbuilding to generate clean, renewable energy.

When White Colne Parish Council needed a full energy upgrade for the village hall, we designed a system that would cut their heating bills and future-proof the building. We installed 30 in-roof solar panels, battery storage, an air source heat pump and an EV charger. The Parish is already seeing big savings and are now joining our Energy Aggregation Club to earn even more back from their system.

The customer’s roof wasn’t suitable for solar, so we designed a low-profile ground-mount system that sits neatly in the garden without standing out. The inverter and battery are tucked away in a small shed next to the array, and the whole system runs smoothly back to the house. The customer loved it — and two of their friends have since asked us to install the same.
